A friend of mine is visiting Ladakh this summer, planning to cycle the Manali to Leh highway, a road that has an average altitude of 4000m. I helpfully suggested getting a plane from Delhi direct to Leh. That’s what I’d do anyway… who knows what state my hips would be in after cycling 500km.
He posted the video below on his Facebook – it was three minutes of immense beauty and an epic trip down memory lane, reminding me of my year in Ladakh and the stunning landscapes that still leave me breathless when I think of them. If you can’t visit Ladakh, at least watch the video below.
